Have you ever felt lonely, even in a room full of people? Felt different from friends and family? Moved to a completely new environment? Such basic human experiences transcend the limits of nationality. Foreign is a group exhibition created by a group of international students about an experience we can all relate to – the sensation of alienation. Each artist depicts their interpretation of the alienation, loneliness, and isolation that being an outsider in Korea entails.

외국인들로 가득 찬 방에서 외로움을 느껴보신 적이 있습니까? 다른 느낌의 친구들과 동료, 다른 사람들로 둘러싼 새로운 환경에 처해 계시나요? 이런 경험은 국적의 한계를 넘어섭니다.

이번 전시 ‘Foreign’은 국제 유학생들이 모여 계획한 그룹전입니다. 우리 모두는 국적, 성별, 환경 등에 따라 소외감을 느낄 수 있습니다. 각각의 작품들은 한국에서의 아웃사이더 경험, 또는 국적과는 상관없이 인간이라면 누구나 느낄 수 있는 고독, 고립 등에 대한 이야기입니다.
